Dr. Quijada is the former CEO of IntelliChem, Inc., which was acquired by IHS in June 2013. For the past 35 years, Dr. Quijada has studied and followed the Petrochemical industry, from feedstocks to end use products, in Latin America. Now as part of IHS Markit, she heads our Business Development and Market Intelligence efforts in Latin America for IHS Markit Oil, Midstream, Downstream and Chemicals business (OMDC). Previously, she worked for CMAI and PDVSA’s petrochemical subsidiary, Pequiven.

Dr. Quijada earned her PhD in economics in 1992; she completed her Master’s degree in International Management at Thunderbird, attended Oxford Graduate Program in 1981; and earned a B.S. in Organic Chemistry at Bryan College, Tennessee, US in 1980.

Leon Melli is a Chemical Engineer graduated at the University of São Paulo, with a specialization in Economic Engineering at the University of Rio de Janeiro.He has 12 years of experience in the petrochemical and refining industry, in which he acted as process engineer, production planning coordinator and commercial area.He has been working at Haldor Topsoe for the last 5 years, currently works as regional manager of refining technologies for Latin America.

Eli Ben-Shoshan is Global Business Leader of DuPont Clean Technologies and previously was Director of Strategy and M&A for DuPont Industrial Biosciences. Before joining DuPont in 2012, Mr. Ben-Shoshan was Managing Director of Priolytics. His career spans strategy, finance, business development and business leadership, focusing on chemicals, biotechnology, and related industries. Mr. Ben-Shoshan holds bachelor’s degrees in Physics and Economics and an MBA, all from Stanford University.

Matthew Clingerman is currently Director – FCC Technology, and is responsible for leading the global FCC business for KBR.  He has over 17 years of experience in the Oil & Gas industry, having previously worked in R&D, technology licensing, operations and project development.  Matthew holds a B.S. degree and a Ph.D. in chemical engineering from Michigan Technological University.

Peter is Vice President of Engineering Services at CPFD Software with 18 years’ experience developing and applying various general and specialized computational fluid dynamics (CFD) technologies.  Since 2010 Peter has increasingly focused on refinery trouble-shooting and improvements via simulation, with particular emphasis on the FCCU and related components.

Peter holds specialty expertise in fluidization and fluid-particle computational modeling for diverse industries including petrochemical (both upstream and downstream), power generation, gasification, materials processing and metal casting.  He has authored, chaired technical sessions or presented over 30 times in the last decade including multiple AFPM and WRA events.

Peter holds a Master’s of Applied Science degree from the University of Toronto.
